Waning Moon
Neptune Retrograde
Uranus Retrograde
Sunny and cool

Lovely fall day, but I’m a bit chilly. For some reason, I can’t seem to warm up today, bundled as I am in sweaters.

Worked on the fourth article yesterday, some of Angel Hunt, put in a bid for a project, caught up on e-mail, wrote two course proposals and did some brainstorming for another seminar.

Since I have four days of day work this week, I have to be unusually productive in the time I’ve got to write.

Unfortunately, some characters started yapping in my head and I had to write a few pages (okay, six) to shut them up. This piece is unlike anything I’ve done before, and I don’t know if it’s going to work. It’s at that really delicate stage right now, too delicate to discuss in detail. So, for the purposes of the blog, I’m going to call it The Other Project.

And it will be under a new pseudonym.

The last thing I need to do right now is to take anything else on – in addition to serials, articles, et al, I still have Amber Tiger and the YA piece tugging at me. Too many characters demanding my attention, trying to tell stories, and not enough physical or mental stamina to do it all. So they have to take a number and play nicely if they want their stories told AT ALL. Hear that, everyone?

Wild Child has another piece Avonne Thomson and I co-wrote, “Horsewomen of the Apocalypse”:

Realized, on the fourth article, that I had two articles battling for dominance within the one article. So I tore it apart and restructured it. It was contracted to be about the Sphinx and that’s what it’s about. My fascination with Hatshepsut overrode the purpose of the originally contracted article. My research will not go to waste, and I’ll do an article just on Hatshepsut, but that’s a separate piece. My editor wants the piece originally envisioned. I rewrote it properly this morning. I’ll let it sit during the day while I’m at the theatre, then revise and send it off tonight.

Then I’m caught up on my Llewellyn articles and can turn my attention back to the sports articles.

Must make a few phone calls (ick, I hate the telephone) and then catch the train for day work.
