Waxing Moon
Saturn Retrograde
Cold; preparing to snow

The tsunami aftermath has hit home.

The daughter of family friends was in Thailand with her boyfriend and a group of other friends. She and her boyfriend managed to outrun it; everyone else in their group is gone. They have returned to their home in Europe, but are shattered. I don’t know if there is anything I can do to help their healing process, but I will try.

It seems both odd and wrong, somehow, to turn back to mundane daily concerns in light of something like this. People all over the world are in a daze, trying to figure out how to continue with their lives while helping rebuild other lives.

Managed to get some decent work done on Charlotte last night. Hopefully, I can do revisions tonight and send some off, and then forge ahead.

I want to thank my online friends who tried to come up with solutions to fix the scanner. Still, nothing works. I’m going to have a chat with corporate headquarters about the next step. I bought a multi-function piece – I expect it to perform all its functions. I appreciate all the time tech support has taken with me, but the problem is not solved, and it needs to be. NOW.

Hard to get up this morning. The aftermath of a migraine always leaves me feeling rather drained. But there are errands to run and a train to catch, so I better pull it together.
