Rainy and cool

The Good News:

Emerging Women Writers published two stories under two different names in their January issue.

“The All Souls’ Holding Room” as Cerridwen Iris Shea, is one of my favorite odd little pieces:

and an older piece that I revised a few months ago, “Dishpan Hands” as Christy Miller:

I’m pleased that these stories were published, and hope people enjoy them.

The Bad News:

The Old Globe rejected Plateau. Disappointing, but not unexpected.

2-1. I’ll take it.

Worked on the outlines until far too late and got maybe three hours’ sleep. Off to the theatre to pretend I’m coherent.

Sorry about the rejection, but congrats on the TWO stories! (I'd take that ratio anytime!) :-)

BAH on them. They don't know what they're missing. :-) Congrats on the two acceptances!

Thank you so much for stopping by with your encouraging words. I've read through some of your posts, but I'm afraid I'll have to come back for more (that ol' time thing again! :) Your blog is a most interesting read!

2:1 is a fine ratio - best wishes to you on the future pieces! I'm looking forward to reading a bit more!
