One Day Only E-Bay sale for Cutthroat Charlotte:

http://www.keepitcoming.net/ebay.html

This is your chance to get a good deal on the pirate serial, if you’re interested, and see what I’m always yapping about!

“Creative Roadmap” was also reprinted in the Celtic Hearts newsletter:

You have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the newsletter.

Continued work on proposals yesterday. I have to tweak the one for the Artists’ Evening, because that is delivered today. Talked with the music producer and we are figuring out the campaign for the CD.

Did some work on ideas for a marketing campaign for the serials, too.

Some people just have to have the last word! A few days ago, I pulled an article because the editor kept asking for changes of direction as the guidelines shifted, and the piece was on spec. I wrote a polite but firm letter saying that I had a good deal of paying work on tight deadline the past few weeks, and I was sure she understood that paid work takes priority over spec, and I was pulling the piece. She sends me back a snotty e-mail saying of course she understands paid work takes priority, but since she can’t rely on my to do the rewrite, she’s dropping the piece. How can she drop a piece I’ve already pulled? I had to laugh. I’m glad I have the information now and don’t have to wonder about what it would be like to work with her. We are not a good match!

So I’m going to sell the version of the article that I think works well elsewhere – for ten times what she offered – had she ever decided to accept it!

In the end, it’ll all work out for the best.

Back to polishing proposals and working on Widow’s Chamber. I need to cough up a few issues before I go into the theatre tonight. It will be a rough weekend, and I want to get as much done ahead of time as I can.

Did a few pages on Ransagh, but felt like I lost its rhythm. Hopefully, I can get it back. The next section is important for character depth.

Never a dull moment. Thank goodness!
