Dark of the Moon
Saturn Retrograde
Jupiter Retrograde
Sunny and cold

Because it rained before it snowed yesterday, there’s a sheet of ice under the snow. Of course, the idiots hired to shovel around the building only shovel the snow off the top and leave the ice. Wonder how many lawsuits that’ll start?

Day work was fine yesterday. Someone got injured on the tour in Toronto, so we’re sending an understudy up to cover – only the airports were closed and she couldn’t fly. Never a dull moment. I hope the injured performer recovers quickly.

The city was so beautiful in the snow. I stood on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 51st St., across from St. Patrick’s cathedral. The white of the snow against the gray of the sky against the cream-coloured stone of the cathedral were sooo beautiful. And the way the snow muffles the city noise is enchanting. Plus, even in bad weather, when it’s snowing, most people dart around in a good mood. Rain just makes people grumpy.

Got a little bit of work done on Ransagh – there are some glitches in chronology that I have to smooth out. It probably would have made more sense to have taken several months to outline the whole thing, but that method doesn’t work for me. The first draft needs to be about discovery. In subsequent drafts, I move events around so that they make sense.

Today needs to be about Charlotte and Widow’s Chamber. I’m not particularly in the mood for the 18th century Caribbean or 19th century New Orleans, but I’ll just have to get over it, won’t I?

Maybe I can get some letters done, too.

There was a brief spurt of hot water this morning –enough to shower and to do the dishes. No, I did not do the dishes in the shower, although I thought about it~ :)

Caribbean and Charlotte first.
