Celtic Tree Month of Oak
Hot and humid
Sorry I’ve been out of touch. Late last week I was knocked out by crippling migraines. Although I managed to pull myself together for the day at Belmont Park, I was then down with heat exhaustion all weekend.
I have ever so much on which to catch up, writing-wise, especially since tomorrow starts the three full-time weeks on the show. I have wrap-ups to write, serial episodes to do, and I need to get some submissions out that have to go ASAP, or I’ll miss getting them in to their slots in 2006.
At least I got the air conditioner in yesterday – that was a relief.
Right now, I’m focused on what needs to be done, and have little to say about the past few days.
Racing wise, although Afleet Alex had a beautiful, gorgeous win, I’m still sad that Giacomo flipped his palate and might have to have surgery, poor thing.
Sent a pitch to a marine biology site that fascinates me. Although I don’t have the scientific background, I think I could communicate the info they want in an engaging way, so I hope I get a shot at the job.
Also found some good leads for new stories while at the track.
Will catch up in more detail here when I’ve caught up everywhere else.
