Rainy – remnants of Hurricane Cindy

I’ve tracked down all but two of my immediate circle in London, and they are unharmed, so far. I’ll keep trying until I find the others. And I’m hoping that not too many acquaintances have been harmed, or worse.

Needless to say, I am not looking forward to getting on the train and entering the bowels of Grand Central Station either coming or going today. I will feel much better once I spend a few minutes with Bruno the bomb-sniffing dog. (Yes, he really does work with the NYPD).

Sewed yesterday, and also did some admin work on another project. You think it’ll take fifteen minutes and it takes two and a half hours. That’s the way it goes.

As I fell asleep, I got the ideas for two new, rather unusual short stories. I don’t know when I’ll actually get to write them, but . . .

The chef Mario Batali appeared in my dream last night. I don’t remember what the dream was about, but I do remember that he came in as a Deus Ex Machina for some reason, and, even in the dream, I was surprised to see him. And I haven’t even watched The Food Network lately! Go figure.

I’m gearing up to do a strong, focused weekend of writing, probably a show or two, and spend some quality time with Debra (Fantasist, to the right).

I have to go in to the city earlier than usual today before work because I have so many errands that have to be dealt with before the end of Friday business – and before I have to clock in to the theatre at 1 PM. So, off I go.

Hoping for the best.
