Work was fine yesterday. They needed me to stay and do the show, because someone was sick, so I ended up doing a 12 hour day instead of a 6 hour day. But that’s okay. Pays the bills and gets me that much closer to next year’s insurance coverage. And, I had a relaxed and enjoyable time doing the show, so it’s all good. I’m a little sore today – they’ve added even more and bigger coats to the show – but I’ll stop periodically for yoga sessions, so it will be fine. Still don’t know whether or not I have to go in today, but I’m assuming (hoping) I don’t.

I could not sleep when I got home last night. I was so, so tired. But I finally got to sleep about 4 a.m. That’s become a pattern lately. I go to bed and I’m restless for hours until early morning, when I finally fall asleep. I’m tired when I go to bed – and too tired to get up and be productive – but don’t actually get much rest. That is taking its toll.

Elusive Prayers has been published – but I’m not posting the link yet, because the publisher “lost” the blurb I sent four months ago and made up one instead. I resent the original material, and, once it’s up, I will start promoting the novella. So stay tuned – with any luck, you’ll hear a lot more about Elusive Prayers over the next few weeks. I have to sit down and figure out a strong marketing campaign for the novella.

Lots of admin work to do today, but first I have to get in my writing quota. More work on Charlotte today, then work on Tapestry, Lighthouse Lady, and a rewrite of the calendar article.

Then I can do the admin work. I also have to do some more work on the hockey article, which I’d like to get into next week’s issue of FemmeFan.

So, hopefully, it will be a writing day for me. I’ve noticed a pattern – the day after I work a show, I always having trouble getting back in sync with the writing. I’m not quite sure how to fix that, but I have to find a way.

On a positive note, I finally got the beginning of Lighthouse Lady right – it still needs some work, but it sets the piece up properly. I got nearly seven pages of it done. I have to accelerate the progress on that one – I should be much farther along with it than I am – but I think I’ve found its natural rhythm, so it shouldn’t be too hard to keep up a solid pace.

Hi there! I've had lots of trouble sleeping lately, too and on a similar cycle. Like Lara, it's often when my hubba travels. It also can happen when my mind is a spinning treadmill.

Looking forward to your linnk. I've not been able to be online as much recently. I'm getting one daughter ready for college and still working more than fulltime. Thanks for stopping by. I'll be more regular in about a month.
Glad you're still so productive,D! :)
